A Bert fancy costume can made by finding a good multi-coloured stripe jumper. I found this jumper to be a good match for a Bert from Sesame Street fancy dress jumper. Bert wears this with a white polo neck. Then you apply liberal amounts of yellow face paint. A round clown knows works well. For the hair you need to have a sort of mohawk look. Get some material and brush it up in to wide fluffy mohawk. Then the most important part of the costume – the bushy monobrow eyebrows. You can either paint these on with makeup, find some sort of fluffy material or buy some fake bushy eyebrows.
For an Ernie fancy dress costume you need to go for a similar style. You will need orange face paint rather than yellow. Bert wears a similar style of jumper although without a white polo neck underneath. He has a similar
